Consultation on the ACT Restricted Acts of Veterinary Science

The Board is currently reviewing the submissions received.

Veterinary Practice Regulation 2018 (Regulation)

The Regulation mainly relates to the annual general meeting under Section 92 of the Act.

Veterinary Premises Standards (the Standards)

The Standards, established under Section 72 of the Act, requires that all veterinary premises in the ACT must be registered. The Standards are to be used as a guideline for the minimum acceptable requirements for veterinary premises.

ACT Veterinary Practitioners Code of Professional Conduct (Code of Conduct)

The Code of Conduct, established under Section 42 of the Act, establishes the standard of conduct veterinary practitioners must adhere to when practicing veterinary science.

The Code of Conduct will be used by the Board to assess complaints. It also provides veterinary practitioners with information on appropriate conduct.
