Traffic management around schools

The Traffic Management and Safety: A Practical Guide for Schools (PDF 2MB) is a guide for use by school communities to help them manage traffic issues and road safety around school precincts. While this guide is intended for all types of schools from preschools through to colleges (year 11 and 12), it is a guide. There is no solution that fits every school in the same way. Each school is different and is surrounded by roads that operate in subtly different ways from others in a different place. For that reason, each school must take into account the particular circumstances that affect that school when applying the principles and resources in this guide.

Some useful information sheets are also available to provide information on traffic management and road safety issues to the school community, including parents and students.
