Corflute signs
Recycle corflute signs via the drop off points at the Mugga Lane and Mitchell Resource Management Centres. Corflute must not go in your household recycling bin.
Recycle
- Drop‑off for free to the dedicated collection bins at the Resource Management Centres in Mugga Lane in Symonston and Flemington Road in Mitchell
- Remove all wooden or metal stakes, nails, bolts or plastic zip ties, glue and dirt as the corflute signs must be clean and free from any contamination to be recycled
- Signs should be placed flat into the collection bins.
- Tree-guards cannot be recycled in this trial, place in landfill bin.
Repurpose
- Re-use if possible
- Re-print on the other side
- Repurpose in building projects
- Contact local Landcare groups or community gardens to see if they know of any projects.
Why?
Corflute signs are made from polypropylene plastic (plastic identification code 5) which can be remanufactured into a high‑quality recycled corflute products, keeping them out of landfill.
The Corflute® signs collected will be recycled by Victorian company Corex.
