Cork is not recyclable in your ACT household recycling bin.
Disposal options
- If suitable, give away to a preschool, school or community group for craft activities
- Lids4Kids - ACT Region collect corks for various recycling projects
- Natural cork stoppers can be dropped off at Dan Murphy’s for the ReCork Australia recycling program. Synthetic or plastic corks are not accepted Natural cork is biodegradable and can be placed in a compost bin
- As a last resort, place in your household landfill bin
