Drink cartons (milk cartons, Tetra packs, juice poppers)
Drink cartons and juice boxes are accepted in ACT recycling bins.
Disposal options
- Recycling bin. Remove lids, nozzle, spout and straws. Ensure cartons are empty and dry. Put lids, nozzle, spout and straws in landfill bin.
- Under the ACT Container Deposit Scheme (ACT CDS), you can return eligible, empty beverage containers such as poppers and small flavoured milk bottles to return points and receive a 10-cent refund for each container
Why?
Cartons made from cardboard or liquid paperboard (Tetra Packs) are accepted in ACT recycling bins.
