Flares are a hazardous waste. Do not place in the rubbish or recycling bin. They require special disposal and are NOT accepted at ACT waste facilities.
Disposal options
- ACT Firearms Registry at Mitchell. Ph: 02 5126 9076.
- Hold expired flares and check for collection dates with Roads and Maritime Services NSW.
Why?
They are a safety hazard to workers in ACT waste facilities and must be disposed of responsibly.
