Glasses/spectacles
Glasses in good condition can be reused or recycled at retail points in the ACT. They are not household packaging so cannot be recycled in ACT recycling bins.
Disposal options
- Donate to Lions Recycle for Sight, part of the Lions Clubs International Worldwide Eyeglass Recycling Program. There are collection boxes at your local Specsavers retail store.
- If broken, put in rubbish bin.
Why?
Glasses and frames in good condition can be recycled or reused by charities and this saves them from going to waste in landfill.
