Pet waste such as cat litter must be bagged and put in the rubbish bin.

Why?
Kitty litter contaminates recyclable material preventing other items from being recycled. Bagging prevents the waste from spilling onto the street as the bin is being emptied into the truck to keep our neighbourhoods and waterways clean.
