Masks
Masks such as P2 masks and surgical masks are not recyclable.
Disposal options:
Masks must be disposed of in the landfill (rubbish) bin.
- If new, give to a friend or donate to charity
- If broken or worn, dispose in the landfill bin.
Why?
P2 and surgical masks are made from a combination of materials that are not sorted for recycling at our Materials Recovery Facility which sorts paper, cardboard and household aluminium, steel, glass and plastic containers only.
