Paper towel
Paper towel is not recyclable in ACT recycling bins.
Disposal options
- Used paper towel can be home composted or put in your worm farm or rubbish bin
- The inner cardboard roll can go in the recycling bin
- Rubbish bin
Why?
Although paper towel is paper, like tissues and toilet paper, it is made of very short fibres which are not long enough to be recycled so it therefore contaminates paper bales.
