Plastic bags and soft plastics
Soft plastic must not go in ACT recycling bins. Soft plastic includes plastics which can be easily scrunched such as chip packets, plastic bags, freezer bags, bread bags, bubble wrap and pasta bags.

- Reuse your plastic shopping bags
- Landfill bin
Why?
Soft plastic tangles in the machinery at the Materials Recovery Facility. Do not put recycling in plastic bags as this prevents the recycling from being sorted by material type.
Redcycle - soft plastic recycling has temporarily paused its soft plastics collection program.
