PVC is a common plastic used in a broad range of applications such as plumbing pipes, flooring and medical supplies. There are limited options for recycling PVC in Canberra but there may be opportunities for commercial recycling of PVC products interstate.

Why?
There are no PVC recyclers in the ACT however there are quite a few in NSW, Victoria and beyond. PVC is relatively easy to recycle if it can be recovered in sufficient quantities and quality but only if it can be used in new products.
