Rapid antigen test (RAT) kits are considered hazardous waste once used and should not be placed in your recycling bin.

Disposal options

Follow the disposal instructions in the test kit and place in your landfill bin.

Why?

All test kit materials are considered biohazardous waste and may contain pathogens which are easily transmissible to others. Please dispose of all used test kit materials in a biohazard waste bag to ensure the safety of waste service employees.
