Shredded paper does not go in the recycling bin. Confidential documents need to be disposed of securely.
Disposal options
- Contact a business who specialises in paper recycling and/or secure paper destruction. Commercial and domestic quantities can be managed securely.

- Compost, worm farm, or use it as bedding in a chicken coop or as pet litter
- Put in in your rubbish bin
Why?
Shredded paper is too small to be recovered at our Materials Recovery Facility and it contaminates other recycling streams.
