Cutlery (reusable)
Reuseable cutlery made from metal or reusable plastics (dishwasher safe and designed to be reused) are not recyclable in ACT recycling bins.
Disposal options
- Reuse where possible or donate
- If reusable, drop off for free at The Green Shed at:
- If damaged dispose of in the rubbish bin or if metal, drop off at metal recycling facilities.
Why?
The Material Recovery Facility where the contents of your recycling bin are sorted, only recovers specific types of plastic used in packaging such as bottles and containers. Find out more about plastic identification codes. Metal cutlery can cause safety issues for staff working in the facilities.
