Exercise equipment
Exercise equipment can be reused or recovered as scrap metal.
Disposal options:
- Give to a friend, donate to charity or sell online
- If reusable, drop off free at Goodies Junction at:
- Contact a business that specialise in the collection, recycling and/or reusing of metal, such as:
ACT Recycling, Symonston
Sims Metal Management, Hume
Access Recycling, Fyshwick
Metal Mart, Fyshwick
- Exercise equipment made predominantly of metal (80 percent) can be dropped free at the following Transfer Stations as the metal can be recovered:
- Waste to landfill - as a last resort general waste that cannot be reused or recycled can be dropped off at the Resource Management Centre, fees apply
Why?
These items contain valuable metals and other materials which can be recovered and reused. Do not place in the recycling bin as our equipment is designed to process household packaging, containers and paper and carboard only. Avoid sending as waste to landfill.
