Garden hoses, tools and wheelbarrows are not household packaging and therefore not recyclable via ACT recycling bins.
Disposal options
- Give to a friend, donate to charity or sell online
- If in good condition, drop off free at Goodies Junction at:
- Materials made predominantly of metal (80 percent) or wood can be dropped at Mugga Lane Resource Management Centre or the Mitchell Resource Management Centre Transfer Stations as the metal can be recovered
- Fees apply to non-metal items
- Rubbish bin
Why?
Items such as hoses and tools damage equipment at the Materials Recovery Facility.
