Why
Oil is a valuable and finite resource. Oil doesn't wear out; it just gets dirty. Used oil can be cleaned, re-refined and used again and again.
When incorrectly disposed oil can pollute land, water and damage infrastructure.
Leaving used oil sitting in your garage is a potential fire hazard.
