Paint
Paint is hazardous waste and must not go in your household bins.
Disposal options
- Give to someone who can use it.
- Quantities of up to 100 litres in volume* can be dropped off for free at:
- View Paintback to check eligible paint products.
*A maximum volume of 100 litres of eligible paint and packaging are accepted per visit. Limits are calculated using the total capacity of the containers being dropped off, not the paint they contain. For example:
- up to 5 x 20 litre paint cans
- up to 10 x 10 litre paint cans
- up to 50 x 2 litre paint cans.
Paint must be secured in containers no larger than 20 litres.
- Drop off aerosol spray paint at the hazardous waste collection point at:
- Paint brushes, paint rollers and paint trays can not be recycled and should be placed into your household general waste bin.
Why?
Paint is flammable, hazardous waste and must be disposed of responsibly. Paintback transports paint from the collection point for treatment and recycling.
