Plant pots
Plant pots should be placed in your general waste bin. Plant pots are not recyclable via ACT recycling bins. They are reusable and recyclable at special collection points in the ACT.
Disposal options
- Give away to someone to grow plants or seedlings in
- If in good condition, drop off for free at Goodies Junction at:
- Plastic plant packaging made from polypropylene plastic 5 (otherwise known as PP5) can be returned for reuse or recycling at Bunnings stores along with other plant packaging (such as stakes and labels)
- Consider booking a free bulky waste collection
- Place broken plant pots in your general waste bin.
Why?
Plant pots are made from materials that are not able to be sorted and sold by our Materials Recovery Facility. Plastic plant pots are able to be recycled though industrial recycling.
