Plastic storage containers
Plastic storage containers are reusable but are not recyclable in ACT recycling bins.
Disposal options
- Give to a friend, donate to charity or sell online
- If reusable, drop off free at Goodies Junction at:
- Give away to a preschool/primary school for storage purposes
- Broken containers go in your rubbish bin or for large quantities, drop them at a Transfer Station. Fees apply
Why?
At the end of their life they can be disposed of in landfill as they are not made from plastics which can be recycled at our Materials Recovery Facility in the ACT. The ACT’s Materials Recovery Facility is designed to process household containers, packaging, paper and cardboard only.
