Smoke alarms

Home smoke alarms are not recyclable in the ACT and must not go in your household recycling or general waste bins. ACT Fire & Rescue do not accept home smoke alarms.

ACT Fire & Rescue recommends wherever possible, hard-wired and interconnected smoke alarms are installed. Refer to the ACT Emergency Services Agency  for more information on Smoke Alarms.
