Used sharps or syringes must not go in household bins, even if sealed in a sharps container.
Disposal options
- For single sharps, the ACT Government provide containers in all public toilets in urban open space
- For bulk disposal, drop at the following locations:

Why?
Syringes are a hazardous waste and must be disposed safely to prevent risks to workers in health facilities, waste management and the community.
