Toys can be sold, reused, donated or remodelled into something new but are not recyclable in ACT recycling bins.
Disposal options
- If the items are in good and clean condition:
- Give to a friend, donate to charity or sell online
- Consider donating to GIVIT – a national not-for-profit connecting those who have with those who need, in a private and safe way
- Roundabout Canberra is a local charity that may accept certain items if donations conditions are met.
- Donate to a primary school for an upcoming fete
- Drop off for free at Goodies Junction at:
- If broken place in the rubbish bin. Remove any batteries and dispose of correctly.
Why?
Toys are made from a variety of materials and are not recyclable in household bins.
