Tyres
Car and truck tyres should not go in household bins. They should be taken to a resource management centre or recycled through a specialised recycling program.
Disposal options
- Light vehicle tyres can be dropped off at a resource management centre, with different fees for clean tyres without rims and tyres with rims (fees apply).
- Limit of 5 tyres per person, with an appointment required for 6 or more tyres. Please contact Remondis on (02) 6270 7700 to arrange an appointment.
- For commercial quantities consider a business that specialises in recycling tyres, such as:
- For truck tyres discuss recycling options with your tyre retailer as most have a tyre recycling scheme.
- Bicycle tyres are not part of a tyre recycling program and not accepted for free tyre drop off. They can be placed in general waste household bins or disposed of at a resource management centre (fees apply).
