X-Rays
X-rays and other medical imaging film contain heavy metals and highly reactive and flammable material. They must not go in your household landfill or recycling bins.
Disposal options
- Take to the designated x-ray recycling bin located in the hazardous waste areas at:

- For alternative options ESHRED has a safe way to dispose of X-rays and old medical records.
Why?
X-ray films contain silver in the form of halides, which can be extracted and converted into pure silver, a highly valuable metal that must not go to waste in landfill.
