Why?
Modems are a form of e-waste. They are recyclable as part of the National Television and Computer Recycling scheme. Modems contain some valuable materials including glass, aluminium, gold, silver and copper that can be extracted for reuse. It means that fewer raw materials need to be extracted and processed to make new products.
