Ruth Park, Coombs new toilets


Current update

The new toilets at Ruth Park in Coombs are open for community use.

Additional landscaping and screening works are ongoing and are expected to be complete by October 2025, weather permitting.

A mix of evergreen and deciduous trees will be planted and corten steel panels featuring local Indigenous art will be installed. You can view the landscaping and screening plans by clicking on the links below.

Work will be carried out between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday and the same hours on weekends (if required).

The playground will remain accessible at all times during these works.

One to two car parks may need to be closed and utilised by the contractor during works.

Project description

Construction is underway on Ruth Park, Coombs new toilets.

Following community feedback in 2022 and 2023 about the need for increased facilities in Ruth Park in Coombs, the ACT Government has built a new toilet block with 2 unisex accessible toilets and baby change tables.

The toilet block is approximately 5 metres wide and 4 metres long with artwork installed on the building exterior.

This project is part of the new and upgraded community facilities and infrastructure planned for our city which was funded in the 2024-25 ACT budget.
