The ACT’s Active Travel Plan outlines ways to make it safer, more accessible, convenient and enjoyable to walk or ride. The Plan sets out 5 priorities for strengthening active travel which will help guide new projects and initiatives over the coming years.

The active travel planning tool is an online portal to the authoritative sources of information for planning and design of walking, cycling, and micromobility in the ACT.

Design guide

The design guide has been created to complement the Active Travel Plan. It sets the design vision for creating safe, people-friendly streets that support all modes of transport.

Standards and specifications

The ACT Standard Drawings support the Municipal Infrastructure Design Standards and Technical Specifications. The Standard Drawings have been designed to be read in conjunction with the relevant referenced Municipal Infrastructure Standards (MIS) and Municipal Infrastructure Technical Specifications (MITS).
