This form allows you to apply for public land access via a locked gate.
To ensure your application is assessed in time, please submit it at least 14 days in advance. Once the application is approved, you will receive a permit with terms and conditions via email.
Do not use this form for access to nature reserves and fire trails. This access is managed via the Parks and Conservation Service. For information on how to apply, contact:

How to apply
The applicant must be the one accessing the gate. They will be held liable for any incident that’s a result of this access.
If any information is missing, you will be contacted within 2 business days.
Applications by residents
Please supply the following with your application form:
A map showing the location of the gate, the route you are using and the destination you are travelling to.
your application is for a period of 3 or more days or
you require access by more than a large car and trailer (maximum 4 tonnes combined).
To obtain a temporary traffic management plan, contact Roads ACT on 13 22 81.
Applications by companies and contractors
Please supply the following with your application form:
A map showing the location of the gate, the route you are using and the destination you are travelling to.
Proof of $20 million public liability insurance.
An approved temporary traffic management plan issued by Roads ACT (costs will be incurred for this approval). To obtain a temporary traffic management plan, contact Roads ACT on 13 22 81.
Apply to amend an approved permit
You can apply to change an already approved permit. For example, this form should be used if a permit holder wants to extend the duration of the gate access on an existing permit.
An application fee may be applicable at time of submission.
You may need to provide supporting documentation, such as an updated approved temporary traffic management (TTM) plan.
Please allow enough time for your amendment application to be considered. We aim to assess your application within 28 days upon receipt of all supporting documentation, unless additional consultation or approvals are required.
