Estate Development Plans (EDPs) are required for some proposed land subdivisions in the ACT under the Territory Plan and Section 94 of the Planning and Development Act 2007.
The preparation of an EDP is required when either:
a) the associated infrastructure for a proposed land subdivision is required to be handed back to the Territory on the development’s completion; or
b) it is determined by the ACT Government that preparation of an EDP is required.
Development Coordination (DC), within Transport Canberra and City Services (TCCS), is required to endorse landscaping, roads and other infrastructure in a proposed EDP.
Proponents are advised to arrange an early meeting with TCCS DC to ensure the efficient endorsement of the proposed EDP. To set up an early meeting for an Estate Development Plan please use the meeting request form or contact DC via Access Canberra on 13 22 81.
EDP-related fees and charges may be viewed on the fees and charges page.
All EDP applications should be submitted to the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate (EPSDD) who then refers the plans to TCCS for review.
Please refer to EPSDD’s Guidelines for the Preparation of Estate Development Plans (PDF 250 KB).
The submitted documentation must comply with the following TCCS' Standard Codes and Guidelines.
