Estate development plans

Estate Development Plans are required for some proposed land subdivisions in the ACT under the Territory Plan and Section 94 of the Planning and Development Act 2007.

The preparation of an Estate Development Plan is required when either:

a) the associated infrastructure for a proposed land subdivision is required to be handed back to the Territory on the development’s completion; or
b) it is determined by the ACT Government that preparation of an Estate Development Plan is required.

Transport Canberra and City Services is required to endorse landscaping, roads and other infrastructure in a proposed Estate Development Plan.

Proponents are advised to arrange an early meeting with Transport Canberra and City Services to ensure the efficient endorsement of the proposed Estate Development Plan. To set up an early meeting for an Estate Development Plan please contact 6207 0019.
