Tuggeranong skatepark

  • Planning work is currently underway to deliver safety improvements at the Tuggeranong skatepark. This includes investigations into how drainage underneath the skate ramps could be improved. Improvements could also include repairs to the concrete surfaces.
  • More information about the safety improvements will be provided on this page before the end of 2025.
  • In addition to the safety improvements, a feasibility study will be undertaken for a full upgrade to Tuggeranong skatepark.
  • Surface remediation works is planned to occur on Monday 22 September 2025. Small sections of the skatepark will be intermittently closed throughout the day. Please observe any closure signage.
  • Skate ramp investigation works are planned to occur on Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 September 2025. During this time, both skate ramps at the Tuggeranong skatepark will be temporarily closed during daylight hours.

Weston Creek skatepark

  • Surface remediation work is planned to occur on Monday 22 September 2025 at the skatepark (weather permitting). To allow for remediation works to occur, small sections of the skatepark will be intermittently closed throughout the day. Please observe any closure signage.

Canberra's skateparks are available for use by all skateboarders, cyclists, scooters, rollerbladers and roller skaters.

Currently there are 7 major skateparks in Canberra suitable for all levels of use. They are located in:

  • Belconnen
  • Canberra City
  • Eddison Park
  • Weston
  • Tuggeranong
  • Erindale
  • Yerrabi District Park.

Six of these parks are fitted with lighting which is timed to switch off at 10 pm, while the Erindale skatepark is the only site unlit.

Many of the ACT's skateparks are located close to water refill stations. These are wheelchair accessible and equipped with 2 bottle refill nozzles as well as a drinking fountain. Some locations also include a dog drinking bowl.

A further 12 parks offering skating features are listed below.

The major skateparks can be busy on weekends and during school holidays. If you are a beginner, we encourage you to utilise the other skatepark features to develop your skills. You should always wear appropriate safety equipment, ride or skate the parks within your limits and be courteous to other users.

Belconnen skatepark

A new competition standard half-pipe has been built at the skatepark along Emu Bank in Belconnen.
