Project description

Planning is underway on Downer shops toilet.

Design is underway for a new toilet facility at the Downer local shops on Frencham Place.

A design consultant will be engaged to investigate the best location and develop the design of the new toilet facility.

The new location will consider access, passive surveillance for the safety of users and access to utility services, such as water.

The new toilet facility will include a unisex accessible toilet with baby change table. It will allow people to stay longer at the shops and enjoy more time outdoors in their local neighbourhood.

This project is one of the new and upgraded community facilities and infrastructure planned for our city that was funded in the 2025-26 ACT Budget.
