Gundaroo Drive duplication stages 1-2

Project description

Gundaroo Drive is now duplicated between Gungahlin Drive and the Barton Highway.

Roads ACT identified the duplication of Gundaroo Drive as an upgrade requirement to improve safety, ease increasing congestion in the Gungahlin region, and manage traffic growth.

Stage One

The first stage of the duplication between Gungahlin Drive and the Mirrabei Drive/Anthony Rolfe Avenue intersection was completed in late 2018 with all four lanes opening up to traffic. This project involved signalisation of the Mirrabei Drive/Anthony Rolfe Avenue intersection, an additional southbound lane on Mirrabei Drive from Paul Coe Crescent to Gundaroo Drive as well as on-road cycle lanes and off-road shared paths.

Construction

  • Start date: April 2016
