Design work will be underway in early 2026 for the Bizant Street playground upgrade.

The final design will be shared with the community in 2026, ahead of works commencing.

Project description

Design is underway on playground upgrades in Amaroo.

In Amaroo, the Bizant Street playground will be upgraded, and a new local neighbourhood playground will be built near the Amaroo shops (indicative map at right).

Across the ACT, playgrounds are being improved, and new play activities are being delivered to provide children of all ages and abilities with fun, creative and engaging play experiences.

There are over 500 playgrounds across Canberra owned and managed by the ACT Government.

In 2024 an election commitment was made to improve the play facilities in eight suburbs across Canberra.
