Tuggeranong Town Centre improvements


The Tuggeranong Town Centre is a valued community hub and multiple projects have contributed to the continued revitalisation of the Town Centre and surrounds.

Anketell Street upgrades

In 2017 as part of the stage one upgrade of Anketell Street north, work was undertaken to deliver public realm improvements to the courtyard on Anketell Street opposite South.Point (previously the Hyperdome) and the entrance of the laneway to the lake. Completed works delivered a new open and accessible paved space, street furniture, a sculptural feature light and more trees.

In 2019 works were completed as part of the stage two upgrade of Anketell Street between Reed Street North and Pitman Street to deliver a raised pedestrian zone and a low speed traffic environment. These works included widened verges and improvements to paved areas, tree replacement, more furniture along the street and an off-road cycle path.
