Tuggeranong skatepark surface repairs

Tuggeranong skatepark surface repairs
Surface repairs are underway at the Tuggeranong skatepark. This also includes replacement of damaged sections of the invert ramp board. These works were expected to begin from Monday 8 April 2024 and take approximately one week to complete (weather permitting), however due to the wet weather experienced at the beginning of April, works have been reprogrammed. Ahead of the ACT school holiday period, surface patching and jointing/coping works will be completed. There will be no works occurring during the school holidays with the skatepark to be fully open and accessible. Following the school holidays, remaining works, including replacement of damaged sections of the invert ramp board, will be completed.

Canberra's skateparks are available for use by all skateboarders, cyclists, scooters, rollerbladers and roller skaters.

Currently there are 7 major skateparks in Canberra suitable for all levels of use. They are located in:

  • Belconnen
  • Canberra City
  • Eddison Park
  • Weston
  • Tuggeranong
  • Erindale
  • Yerrabi District Park.

Five of these parks are fitted with lighting which is timed to switch off at 10 pm, while the Erindale and Yerrabi District Park are unlit.

Many of the ACT's skateparks are located close to water refill stations. These are wheelchair accessible and equipped with 2 bottle refill nozzles as well as a drinking fountain. Some locations also include a dog drinking bowl.

A further 12 parks offering skating features are listed below.

The major skateparks can be busy on weekends and during school holidays. If you are a beginner, we encourage you to utilise the other skatepark features to develop your skills. You should always wear appropriate safety equipment, ride or skate the parks within your limits and be courteous to other users.
