Lux

Lux is a handsome boy with a gentle nature who is still finding his feet and learning that the world can be a safe and exciting place. Since arriving in our care, Lux has steadily grown in confidence and is beginning to show his playful, affectionate side. While he may be a little reserved when meeting new people, once he feels comfortable, he greets his handlers with an adorable play bow and a wagging enthusiasm that is impossible not to love. A wonderful walking companion, Lux walks exceptionally well on lead for his breed and enjoys getting out to explore the world around him. He regularly checks in with his person during walks and will often lean in for affection, showing his growing trust and connection. Although he can sometimes be a little aloof, he is a sweet-natured dog who enjoys companionship on his own terms. Lux is looking for an active home committed to continuing his training and socialisation. Positive experiences, regular exercise, and ongoing confidence-building will help him reach his full potential. He would thrive with owners who have breed experience and can provide patient, consistent guidance as he settles into family life. Due to his size and breed characteristics, Lux will require higher-than-standard secure fencing to keep him safe and secure. He would also benefit from having both indoor and outdoor access so he can be included as part of the family while still having space to relax and unwind. At this stage, Lux would be best suited as the only dog in the household, allowing him the opportunity to settle in and bond with his new family at his own pace. Lux would particularly suit a quieter home with teenagers aged 16 years and older. His new family should be prepared for the grooming commitment that comes with his beautiful coat, as ongoing professional grooming will be important to keep him comfortable and looking his best. Lux is currently shedding and has shown excellent tolerance for grooming and handling, making this ongoing care much easier. Overall, Lux is a lovely, well-mannered boy with so much potential.

*The adoption fee covers the fee payable to Domestic Animal Services to release the dog. Additional fees include a registration fee ($65.55 or concession $25.05) and microchip fee ($27.55 to update microchip details or $50.25 if the dog was not microchipped when impounded). Sexually entire dogs must be desexed by a vet, fees will apply.
