For after hours urgent public health matters including environmental health, radiation safety, food poisoning and communicable disease management phone:
Additional service request for shared waste entitlement
Additional service request for shared waste entitlement
Additional service request for multi-unit development
The additional service request shared waste entitlement form is used to request additional (or less) waste collection services for a multi-unit development which uses a shared waste enclosure. This includes green waste wheelie bins for multi-unit developments.
This form can only be completed by the managing strata, body corporate or owner corporation of the multi-unit development.
The ACT Government provides waste collection services for general waste (red-lidded bin/hopper) and recycling (yellow-lidded bin/hopper) as standard. Services for garden organics (green bin) are also available. Fees apply for the garden organics (green bin) service.
Additional services may be required if the bin/hopper is frequently overfilled or if a resident requests additional services via their strata manager, either by the provision of an additional bin or an increased number of collections. Services may also be reduced if a bin/hopper is under-utilised.
After the request is submitted, ACT NoWaste will evaluate the information provided and will determine the best waste collection solution for the multi-unit development. If additional services are required, our contractor could also perform a site inspection of the multi-unit development to ensure the waste enclosure or kerb is accessible to their vehicles and that there are no safety hazards.
If additional services are available, ACT NoWaste will send you a quote for delivery of the service. You have 30 days to accept or refuse the quote. If the quote is accepted, an invoice for the requested service will be provided and must be paid in full prior to the supply of the bins/hoppers and/or the commencement of the additional waste collection service.
