Project description

Design is underway on the Emu Inlet activation.

The ACT Government is enhancing the Emu Bank foreshore and surrounding areas to provide better spaces for community recreation, exercise and socialising.

This project is seeking to activate the southern area of Emu Inlet along the edge of Lake Ginninderra with a new water play area. A map of the indicative area is below. The exact location within this area will be determined during design.

Emu Inlet is directly to the north of the Belconnen town centre with connections to walking and cycling facilities around Lake Ginninderra.

The new water play area will complement the promenade which runs from the Belconnen Arts Centre to the Ginninderra Sea Scouts. It will also provide new opportunities for recreation, and it will promote the wellbeing of families and children living in Belconnen.
