Current update

Project description
Construction is starting soon on Glebe Park seating upgrades.
Glebe Park is a popular green space just east of Canberra’s city centre. The park features a rotunda, sculptures, barbecues, playground and grassy areas.
The ACT Government is upgrading some of the old seating at the northern end of Glebe Park. It will be replaced with new modern seating made from powder-coated aluminium batten seats which mimic the natural look of timber.
Works will be undertaken in stages across the park as sections of seating are replaced. Once the works are complete, fencing will be removed, and the seating will open to the public.
The barbeques and playground will remain open throughout the works.
Concrete footings will be poured to hold the new seating in place. We ask the community to please avoid the work areas and a reminder not enter the work zone.
