Project description
Design is underway on the new Gilmore playground.
In Gilmore, the playground on Hogue Place will be demolished and removed permanently. A new local neighbourhood playground on Henry Melville Crescent will be built to replace the playground previously on Hogue Place.
Across the ACT, playgrounds are being improved, and new play activities are being delivered to provide children of all ages and abilities with fun, creative and engaging play experiences.
There are over 500 playgrounds across Canberra owned and managed by the ACT Government.
In 2024 an election commitment was made to improve the play facilities in eight suburbs across Canberra.
