South Kaleen shopping centre improvements


Project description

The ACT Government is committed to upgrading local shopping centre precincts across the city over the next four years, creating and protecting local jobs and supporting local businesses.

In December 2022 construction was completed on major upgrades to the local shops at Gwydir Square in Kaleen.

Key features

  • New seating and shade structures
  • New accessible public toilet
  • Better landscaping including new pavements, and more trees, shrubs and grasses
  • Community artwork
  • Refreshed softfall at the playground
  • Upgraded lighting
  • Parking upgrades including new accessible parking spaces.
