Project description

Planning is underway on Cooleman Court public space improvements

In the 2026-27 ACT Budget, the ACT Government committed to improving shops across Canberra. This includes public space upgrades at the Cooleman Court shops in Weston Creek.

This follows an election commitment in 2024 to deliver the next stage of improvements at Cooleman Court in Weston. Previously two stages of works completed in 2021 and 2024 improved the public spaces on Brierly Street, as well as pedestrian access to Cooleman Court. Now, a third stage of improvements will begin.

Cooleman Court shops has over 30 stores including bakeries, grocery stores, a pet supply store, a gym, post office, chemist, cafes, car wash and more.

This project will improve public spaces around the shops. Works may include new seating, lighting, crossings and car park improvements, paving or landscaping.
