Speed enforcement on William Hovell Drive roadworks


As part of the William Hovell Drive Duplication works, the speed limit through the 4.5km work zone has reduced from 90km/h to 60km/h. The reduced limit will apply 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the duration of the project.

Speed enforcement will increase in the areas, including regular mobile speed enforcement cameras to help keep drivers, road workers and the surrounding environment safe while the ACT Government delivers the major road upgrade.

The 60km/h limit is in place because road conditions have changed. Even outside constructions hours, drivers are still travelling through temporary traffic arrangements, barriers and a road environment with less room for error.
