West Belconnen Green Waste Facility is relocating

The ACT Government is temporarily relocating the West Belconnen Green Waste Facility from its current position on Parkwood Road to a site further north. The facility will remain accessible via Parkwood Road, just a short distance (1km) from its current location.

The current location will continue to receive green waste until the close of business on Wednesday 6 May 2026. Operations at the new site commenced on Thursday 7 May 2026.

Planning is underway for a long-term green waste facility for North Canberra, supporting the ACT Government’s commitment to providing free green waste disposal.
