Freya is a beautiful young German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a loving heart. While she may be a little reserved when first faced with new situations, those who take the time to get to know her will discover a loyal and affectionate companion who simply wants to be close to her people. Freya appears to have had limited exposure to the world outside of a home environment and can find unfamiliar experiences overwhelming at times. Despite this, she has shown a calm and social temperament, forming strong connections with the people she trusts. Her favourite place is right by your side, whether that is relaxing at home, enjoying quiet time together, or accompanying you on daily adventures. Freya is looking for an active home that can provide her with regular exercise, ongoing training, and positive socialisation to help her continue building confidence. She will thrive with patient adopters who understand the German Shepherd breed and are committed to helping her reach her full potential through structure, guidance, and consistency. Due to her sensitive nature, Freya would be best suited to a quiet household with secure fencing and access to both indoor and outdoor areas. She is suitable for homes with children aged 12 years and older who can respect her space and gentle temperament. At this stage, Freya is seeking a home where she can be the only dog, allowing her to settle in and continue developing her social skills at her own pace. Freya would particularly love a home where her people are around more often than not, as companionship is incredibly important to her. She thrives on human connection and will happily spend her days keeping you company. Freya will require regular professional grooming to keep her coat healthy, clean, and comfortable throughout the year. Potential adopters must have previous German Shepherd ownership experience as understanding the unique needs of this intelligent and sensitive breed will be essential to ensuring Freya's long-term success.
