Meet Matteo, a vibrant and affectionate boy looking for a committed and active home where he can truly thrive. Matteo is a social, people-oriented dog who absolutely loves cuddles, daily walks, and spending time with his humans. He has a particular fondness for fluffy toys and will happily entertain himself (and you!) with them. Matteo would do best in a home with secure fencing and access to both indoors and outdoors, even when his owners are not home. Having this flexibility will help him feel settled and comfortable, as he prefers to sleep inside and be close to his family. He is toilet trained indoors, which will make his transition into a new home smoother. This clever boy does have a cheeky side—he’s a bit of a kleptomaniac and enjoys “collecting” items around the house, so supervision and ongoing training will be important. Matteo is also quite vocal and enjoys barking, so he would not suit a household seeking a quiet companion. Matteo must be the only pet in the home, as he is best suited to a single-pet environment. He requires an active household that can meet his physical and mental stimulation needs. He will benefit from ongoing training and continued socialisation, and as an eager-to-please dog, he shows great potential to make positive progress.
Matteo is suitable for a home with children aged 8 years and older, provided they understand and respect his needs. With structure, routine, patience, and plenty of love, Matteo will grow into a loyal and entertaining companion.
