Pearl is a beautiful young girl with a gentle soul and so much love to give. While she can be a little shy when meeting new people especially men and experiencing unfamiliar situations, those who take the time to get to know her will quickly discover an affectionate, sweet-natured companion who is eager to form close bonds with her family. Pearl has come into the shelter feeling underconfident, and she is looking for a patient and understanding home that will allow her to settle in at her own pace. When approached calmly and gently at her level, her true personality begins to shine. She loves reassurance from her people and will happily lean in for cuddles, offer little kisses, and even place her paw into your hand for comfort and connection. It is these tender moments that make Pearl such a special dog. Pearl would thrive in a quieter household where she can continue building her confidence through positive experiences, gentle training, and ongoing socialisation. She enjoys being around people and is highly social once she feels comfortable, but she will benefit from owners who understand that trust takes time to develop. One of Pearl's greatest strengths is how much she enjoys the company of other dogs. She became noticeably more confident and relaxed when interacting with friendly canine companions. For this reason, she may do well with another calm and social dog in the home who can help show her the ropes and continue to build her confidence. Pearl is looking for an active family who can provide daily exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to explore the world at a pace that suits her. She will need secure fencing and access to both indoor and outdoor areas so she can enjoy spending time with her family while also having space to relax and unwind. Suitable for a home with children aged 12 years and over, Pearl is ready to find a family who will support her journey and celebrate each little milestone along the way. With patience, consistency, and plenty of love, Pearl is sure to blossom into a loyal, affectionate, and devoted companion.
