Shade our Play program


Did you know there’s a program to increase shade in Canberra’s schools?

The Shade our Play program was introduced in November 2023 to boost tree canopy cover across ACT public schools.

The program offers many benefits, including:

Participating schools plant and maintain the trees to ensure their continued health and growth.

The program has been extremely successful and has led to thousands of trees being planted.
